Everton could potentially tempt Yves Bissouma away from Tottenham this transfer window.

The 28-year-old’s current contract at Spurs expires next year, but he’s adamant about staying in the Premier League for another season.

Kiernan-Dewsbury Hall has signed from Chelsea to bolster his engine room at Bramley-Moore Dock, but Bissouma is another target being monitored by the Toffees.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have shown ambition by signing Jack Grealish, but the Merseyside outfit seemingly aren’t done yet.

Everton transfer could happen as Bissouma wants British passport

Bissouma wants to stay in England for one more year as he could obtain his British passport, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The journalist revealed on X on 15 August that UK citizenship seems to be a “key factor” for the Mali international this summer.

It’s been claimed that while the 28-year-old’s priority is to stay at Tottenham, he could consider other options if pushed out by Thomas Frank.

The defensive-midfielder’s situation in N17 will be one to keep an eye on as the Blues and West Ham United keep tabs on him.

Tim Iroegbunam looking over his shoulder at Bramley-Moore Dock

Sheffield United have expressed interest in Tim Iroegbunam, and the 22-year-old may be considering his future at the Toffees.

David Moyes has plenty of quality options in the middle of the park in James Garner, Carlos Alcaraz and Idrissa Gueye.

During pre-season, the former Manchester United midfielder has impressed in a deeper midfield role, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him play there in the 2025/26 campaign.

Bissouma signed for Tottenham in 2022 for £30million.

The 28-year-old was an important player as Spurs won the Europa League last season.

Frank may not have the Mali midfielder in his plans for the 2025/26 campaign.

Dewsbury-Hall’s arrival at Everton is also encouraging, with the Englishman bringing much-needed creativity in L5.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see a midfield trio of Garner, Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish start for the Toffees in major games, leaving little room for other players in the team.

Iroegbunam has already been struggling for regular game time at the Blues, and Bissouma’s arrival will potentially make the former Aston Villa ace question his future in Merseyside.
