The Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is excited about Jalen Milroe’s potential ahead of his rookie year in the NFL.

Milroe comes off a solid outing last week against the Las Vegas Raiders in his preseason debut, completing 6-of-10 passes for 61 yards, while adding 38 yards on the ground on three carries in two quarters of play. This small sample size gave MacDonald and the Seahawks’ offensive staff much to gush over as they continue to evaluate and mold the third-round quarterback ahead of his rookie season.

“I’m begging him,” Macdonald said on the Get Got” podcast. “I’m like, ‘dude, do you realize how much of a pain in the a– you are?’ It’s just, he’s got great-arm talent, really, really smart, great worker. He has the trump card. You know, it’s like, ‘Hey man, like use it’. Like, you can have it all, you can do everything. So everything is better than some of the things. So. do that. He understands it, and he is so committed to being a great quarterback, which he is going to be.”

Milroe will have another opportunity to further impress MacDonald and the Seahawks ‘ brass Friday night when Seattle takes the field at Arrowhead Stadium for their second preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
