Tottenham are looking to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, and they are now ready to submit an opening offer for him.
According to an update by French journalist Sebastien Vidal, Tottenham Hotspur will soon offer £55 million to sign Eberechi Eze, and it will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace are prepared to sanction his departure.
Arsenal have been eager to sign the Englishman as well, but talks are stalled, and it seems that the Gunners are now moving away from the deal. Eze picked up 25 contributions last season, and he helped Crystal Palace win the FA Cup. He has recently helped in the Community Shield as well.
This is the right time for the English international to join a bigger club, and moving across London will be ideal for him. He will be able to play in the UEFA Champions League with them, and he will look to fight for trophies as well.
Spurs need to sign Eze
Tottenham need to improve their attacking unit if they want to do well this season. They have sanctioned the departure of Son Heung-min, and James Maddison has suffered a serious injury. Spurs need a couple of quality attacking additions before the window closes. The 27-year-old Crystal Palace playmaker will add creativity and a cutting edge in the final third.
Eberechi Eze is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. He will look to add some much-needed unpredictability to the Tottenham attack. They should look to invest in a reliable striker as well. Dominic Solanke has not been able to score consistently since joining the club, and they need someone who can support and share the goalscoring burden.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham plug weaknesses in their squad before the transfer window closes. They managed to win the UEFA Europa League last season, and they will look to fight for trophies this season as well. There is no doubt that the North London club have the bones of a good team, but they need a few intelligent additions to compete with the top teams.
The 27-year-old Crystal Palace talisman will look to sort out his future quickly, and it remains to be seen whether the Eagles are willing to accept the offer from Tottenham when it is presented. As for Arsenal, it will be interesting to see if they reignite the talks to sign the Englishman.
