West Ham United are braced to lose midfielder Lucas Paquetá in this transfer window.
Yesterday, Claret & Hugh ran an exclusive from a top transfer source who said: “He’s a top-quality player, the Saudis still want him, a move to City has never gone away, and the Brazilian clubs will never stop trying. Until the window is shut, I wouldn’t rule it out.”
The report caused something of a stir, with some suggesting there was nothing in it — but it was subsequently confirmed by a source close to the player.

Now, football ITK Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the news, stating:
“Lucas Paquetá, considering to explore options to leave West Ham this summer.
After difficult 18 months on personal level and now free from all accusations, Paquetá considers fresh challenge as a possibility.
No final decision made yet but reviewing options for his future.”
Claret & Hugh have been informed that the player has offers on the table, although West Ham are not believed to have received an official bid. That said, the club are keeping quiet — but with so much chatter, it’s hard to ignore the signs.
At this stage, I’d be surprised if Paquetá is still a Hammers player by the end of the transfer window.
