Cruel NBA schedule denies De'Aaron Fox the early gift he rightfully deserves

I never thought I would see the day that I am looking forward to a matchup against the Sacramento Kings, but here we are. The Spurs and Kings will face off three times during the regular season, with the most anticipated matchup, De'Aaron Fox's return to Sacramento, scheduled for March 17th, 2026, on ESPN.

Fresh off [his massive commitment to San Antonio](https://airalamo.com/spurs-make-massive-deaaron-fox-gamble-future-wemby-stake), Fox will get a chance to crush the hearts of Sacramento Kings fans and prove why they should have done everything they could to keep him.

As if they hadn't already had it bad enough, the Kings will have to watch their former superstar point guard rain buckets for a full 48 minutes. While Spurs fans heavily look forward to this game, the same can't be said for the Kings' supporters.

De'Aaron Fox can prove is worth more than he was traded for

-----------------------------------------------------------

I don't know about you, but it's pretty easy to see that the Spurs came out like bandits when trading for the long-time Sacramento King guard. The Spurs hardly gave up anything of note and acquired one of the [best point guards in the NBA](https://airalamo.com/fox-s-nonstop-growth-places-him-among-these-elite-point-guards). Facing off against his former team, Fox will be able to show in live action that the Kings made a massive mistake.

Fox is capable of producing spectacles, and he's going to do so against his Sac-Town in March. Look no further than his 60-point outburst against the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. The Kings' defense is nothing to be afraid of, and he will have the loud temperament of the Sacramento crowd keeping him motivated. Another offensive explosion like that would have the entire city in shambles.

The Kings castaway should not hold back whatsoever. The franchise did him no favors despite his loyalty, dominance, and outright carrying that he put on. Throughout his eight seasons with the team, they struggled to put adequate pieces around him and couldn't hold onto a head coach to save their lives; it's no wonder he wanted to leave. Now it's his time to enact revenge.

Before the ball even tips off, it will be fascinating to see how the Sacramento crowd reacts. Will they cheer with respect for one of their all-time great players, or will they cry in agony that their star is gone? If it were up to me, I would be showing respect to Fox, but I won't be sitting in the crowd for this one.

No matter what, there is no doubt that Fox will be putting on a show. Mark your calendar because this is going to be a good one.
