Boog Sciambi roasts fan dressed as clown as fantasy football punishment

As we approach the start of the 2025 NFL season, fantasy football players who had a rough 2024 season will get the chance to redeem themselves. One Chicago Cubs fan was subjected to public embarrassment at the hands of broadcaster Boog Sciambi before he gets his chance to put together a better team in 2025.

Everyone knows that the very best fantasy football leagues have some stakes on the line to keep everyone invested. Some put together a prize pool. Others take their bragging rights very seriously. And a select few implement a form of public embarrassment for the player who finishes in last place in the league to incentivize everyone from ending up in the basement of the league.

This was the case for one Cubs fan on Friday, who was forced to attend Friday’s Cubs-Pirates game wearing a clown costume while holding a sign that reads “I suck at Fantasy Football.”

His misfortune turned into a comedic spot on the Cubs broadcast on Marquee Sports Network, which highlighted him as the fan of the game. After completing an ad read, Boog Sciambi took notice of the fan highlighted on the broadcast, explaining how his misfortune was a good lesson for kids not to be bad at fantasy football.

“Kids, here is a good lesson,” said Sciambi. “Don’t be bad at fantasy football, or stuff like this is going to happen.”

This fan is not the first fantasy football loser to have to attend an MLB game in a clown outfit. And he likely won’t be the last. Hopefully, his fortunes will turn around for the 2025 fantasy football season to avoid Boog Sciambi’s wrath next year.
