Transfer expertFabrizio Romano reported that Leipzighave agreed to an €80 million move for Simons, with €55 million paid upfront. The Dutch midfielder is under contractuntil June 2027, and PSG inserted a sell-on clause to guarantee a cut ofany future transfer fees.
It’s a tactic that’s already paying off.Adam Crafton of The Athletic reported that PSG recently collected €17 million (£15 million) from Hugo Ekitiké’s transfer to Liverpool through a similar arrangement.

Bayern Munichhave recently made concrete inquiries about Simons, but a deal appears highly unlikely for several reasons. The main factor is that Simons is fully focused on joining Chelsea. A verbal agreement with the club is already in place and considered 100 percent done, though the two clubs have yet to finalize terms.

Plettenberg recently reported that Simons isfully focused on wrapping up an agreement between RB Leipzig and Chelsea.
Manchester City are not involved at this stage, and Chelsea remain patient in their pursuit, with the deal still alive. Simons’ salary at RB Leipzig could climb to €14 million gross if all bonuses are met.
