All the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Manchester United as they prepare to face off on Premier League opening weekend.

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday when they kick off their Premier League campaign against old rivals Manchester United in the game of the weekend.

The Gunners are hoping to put together a Premier League title charge this season, and a better on than their last, but they will face a tough test against a United side that has spent big this summer. Speaking about the test, Mikel Arteta has said: “It is history, it's the clashes when I was younger as well playing for both teams and it created something special in those games.”

United will be just as geared up for the game as they look to right the wrongs of a disastrous season of last, and they will be armed with new striker Benjamin Sesko, a player Arsenal have been very interested in signing for some time, though they ultimately chose Viktor Gyokeres.

Speaking on Sesko’s availability, United boss Ruben Amorim said: “Of course (he is ready.) We didn't have a lot of time but he's ready. First of all, physically, he's ready. That is a big component in our league. Then, he's really smart. Every detail he asks, he's a guy that is always thinking. He spends all afternoon here working on his fitness, so he's ready to play, we will see if he's going to start."

Here were round up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides as they prepare to open their respective campaigns.

Lisandro Martinez - Out

Martinez is going to be out until late Autumn with a serious knee injury. Ruben Amorim confirmed at the time: “Licha is a difficult situation. He's going to be out for a while. We don't know the extent of the injury, but it's an injury that is going to take time.” Ahead of this one, Amorim said: "Nous and Licha are out. They cannot play in this game.”

Noussair Mazraoui - Out

Mazraoui will remain out with a hamstring issue, as confirmed above.

Andre Onana - Fit

Onana said just over a week ago: “I feel good, I feel great. It’s been a few difficult weeks, but yeah, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season.” Ahead of this one, Amorim said: “Josh recovered, Andre recovered, they are options for this game, we will see."

Joshua Zirkzee - Fit

Zirkzee has ben targeting a return for the new season, and he has made it back in time, as confirmed above.

Leandro Trossard - Doubt

Trossard should be okay for this one, with Arteta saying in the pre-match press conference: “Yeah I think he's much better, I think he will be able to train again tomorrow and if that's the case, he will be fit.” The Belgian will remain as a doubt for now, though.
