Leeds United appear to remain in the pursuit of more reinforcements to lead the line for Daniel Farke’s side in the Premier League, amid fresh links to Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirovic.
Following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s arrival at Elland Road, many thought it would be unlikely that the 49ers would bring another striker to West Yorkshire this summer.
However, with Lukas Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin’s worrying injury records, a fourth striker may be necessary if Leeds want to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Joel Piroe was on fine goalscoring form in pre-season, but the Dutchman will have to be at his best if he wants to keep his place in the starting XI, as the competition for places may only ramp up even further.

Leeds United interested in Demirovic from Stuttgart
With Farke and Co. predicted to struggle in the top flight next season, there are concerns about whether there are enough goals in his forward line.

This could be set to change, however, with Kicker reporting on 15 August that United are interested in Demirovic from Stuttgart.
Despite the 27-year-old not actively seeking a move away from Stuttgart, the German outlet report that Leeds are interested in bringing the Bosnian to LS11.
Demirovic scored 15 Bundesliga goals in a total of 1,861 minutes last season
The player is said to be unhappy with his role as a part-time attacker, as he was forced to share minutes with Deniz Undav and Nick Woltemade last season.
With Demirovic moving to Stuttgart for just over £18million just last summer, the Bundesliga outfit would demand around £35million for their marksman – pretty much double the fee in the space of a year.

Leeds must bring in another striker
With the Bosnian international having a wealth of Bundesliga experience as well as coming off the back of two seasons in a row of netting 15 league goals, Leeds may have found their perfect solution to their striker woes.
With Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin’s disappointing goal tallies, Demirovic would be an arrival to get Leeds supporters excited and maintain a shred of hope that they may be able to avoid the drop and upset the odds.
With Leeds’ opener against Everton on the horizon, the 49ers must cough up the cash and complete the deal swiftly if they feel that Demirovic is the man to fire them to Premier League safety.
