'There's movement...' - Fabrizio Romano shares update on 'unbelievable' star amid Aston Villa…

There has been movement on the future of Arsenal star Leandro Trossard and a deal is one to watch in the final weeks of the window amid links with Aston Villa, Fabrizio Romano has revealed in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter.

Unai Emery's side have had a relatively quiet transfer window so far with Marc Bizot and Evann Guessand the only first-team arrivals ahead of the opening game of the season, while Jacob Ramsey is the only senior departure with a move to Newcastle United completed.

Now the Villans are looking to add to their squad before the deadline on September 1st as they look to make it back to the Champions League once more, with Trossard someone who is said to have been identified as a target.

Trossard Situation 'One to Watch'

Trossard, who has been described as "unbelievable" by Arsenal legend Ian Wright, has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium this season following the arrivals of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, plus the development of youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.

The Belgium international has just two years remaining on his contract in north London and there has been speculation that director of football Andrea Berta is open to allowing him to move on for the right offer.

Reports this week have suggested that Villa are one of the clubs taking a look at the 30-year-old's situation with Arsenal, and when asked about the chances of the Belgian leaving, Romano didn't shut it down - although he admitted nothing is imminent.

"Nothing imminent yet but one to watch for the final weeks, as there’s movement."

Villa are likely to add more attacking reinforcements to the squad this month following Ramsey's departure, while Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio's loans weren't renewed and there is also strong interest in Leon Bailey from abroad.

It's unclear how much a deal would cost, but it's clear that Arsenal are seemingly not closing the door on his exit, this is one that could develop in the coming weeks too and as Romano says, is 'one to watch' as the rumours surrounding Aston Villa continue.
