Arsenal keen on 19-year-old Brazilian – Gunners can get in first for Palmeiras player

Brazilian media are linking Arsenal with Palmeiras defender Benedetti, with the 19-year-old reportedly having Mikel Arteta’s approval.

[Local journalist Diego Firmino, a club insider](https://somosfanaticos.fans/br/futebol-europeu/arsenal/apos-estevao-palmeiras-pode-fechar-nova-venda-para-a-premier-league-benedetti-e-alvo-do-arsenal), claims the Gunners are among those chasing the 19-year-old, who came through the Palmeiras academy and made the jump to the senior squad this year.

Another plugged-in voice, [journalist Gustavo Soler](https://x.com/falasoler), says an unnamed European club is ready to put €10m on the table, with bonuses potentially taking that higher.

He might only be the fifth-choice centre-back for Abel Ferreira at the moment, but his mix of technique and stature marks him out as one for the future. The manager is already aware of Arsenal’s interest, although the London club have yet to pull the trigger.

Benedetti has racked up 15 appearances this season, clocking 1,091 minutes and even finding the net twice. He signed a new deal just a few months ago, tying him to Palmeiras until December 2029, with the release clause kept firmly under wraps.

The youngster is also on the radar of other sides in England and Italy, and while it’s unclear if any of the proposals he’s had came from Arsenal, the Gunners are being talked about as favourites in the early whispers.
