'Some player': Jack Grealish has already been impressed by one Everton star

Everton fans will be keen to see how David Moyes fields his opening starting XI of the season on Monday evening.

There is one player who every Everton fan will have their eye out for when that first team sheet is released before the game.

Jack Grealish has landed on Merseyside, and Evertonians will be desperate to see the 29-year-old in action.

Having made the move official earlier this week, Pep Guardiola wants to see Grealish play regular minutes at Everton.

There is a certain irony in that the 29-year-old has been forced to leave Manchester City because he was not getting enough game time.

But Grealish has already admitted there is one Everton player he is already excited to play alongside.

Jack Grealish excited to play with Everton’s Idrissa Gana Gueye

After early photos were shared from Everton training, Grealish appeared to be forming a bond with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Moyes will certainly be hoping they strike a strong partnership to progress Everton’s attacking output this season.

But speaking to Everton’s media channel, Grealish admitted he has already been amazed by Idrissa Gana Gueye.

“Yeah, I’ve played with him [Gueye] at Villa. Some player, he is,” said Grealish.”

The footage shared also showed the Everton player participating in the bleep test ahead of their season opener on Monday.

Once again, it was Dewsbury-Hall who Grealish could be spotted in regular conversation with.

James Garner has also hailed Gueye as a true leader in the Everton side, with his new contract delighting his teammates.

David Moyes has also impressed Grealish at Everton

A massive season lies ahead for the trajectory of Grealish’s career, after a number of years struggling at Manchester City.

Moyes worked hard to sign Grealish at Everton, and his efforts clearly paid off as the 29-year-old put his trust in the Scot.

Speaking in his first interview as an Everton player, Grealish shared just how impressed he had been by his conversations with Moyes.

“As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew there was only one place that I wanted to go,” he said.

“On social media, I’ve been flooded with messages from Everton supporters, so there’s that side of it as well and that’s another reason why I chose Everton.”

Clearly, this is a player who wants to be on Merseyside. Now, it is his time to prove his quality in a bid to take Everton to where they want to be.
