Eberechi Eze informs Crystal Palace of his desire to join Tottenham Hotspur
Although Tottenham Hotspur are set to start their 2025-26 campaign today with the Premier League match against Burnley, they can still make some further changes to their squad before the end of this summer transfer window.
Spurs have already added some new players who are going to be quite important for Thomas Frank next season, the most prominent of them being Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha. However, Fabio Paratici might still be looking for new players as the London side is being linked with several interesting options.
One player with whom they have been strongly linked recently is the Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze. Tottenham have been in talks with Crystal Palace for his signing, and a recent report claimed that this operation is at quite an advanced stage.
Previously, Arsenal were also working to sign the forward. However, as per a new report from CaughtOffside, Eze has made it clear to Crystal Palace that he wants to join the North London club, thus paving the way for Spurs to put in an offer for him.

Spurs getting closer to Eze
If this report turns out to be true, this would be a significant development for Tottenham. With the departure of a player as big as Son Heung-Min, they need a quality replacement of the South Korean star, especially for a season when they will at least be looking to secure a top-4 spot in an ultra-competitive Premier League, while also competing for glory in the UEFA Champions League.
The Englishman has a lot of experience of playing in the Premier League, and his career with Crystal Palace has been quite excellent. Only last season, he had 14 goals and 11 assists to his name, and 8 of these goals and 8 of these assists came in the Premier League.
This move would also make a lot of sense for the player himself, as he would move to a club that will be competing for the biggest of trophies, while also remaining an important part of the squad. But for now, Eze would be concerned mainly with sorting out his future as there are only a few days left before the transfer window closes.
