However, there is no place for Gerard Martin, Roony Bardghji or Wojciech Szczesny in the squad as the three players have not been registered and remain on the sidelines.
Inaki Pena and Diego Kochen are Barca’s back-ups in goal for Saturday, although the hope is that the club will be able to register Szczesny’s new two-year contract soon.
Yet Hansi Flick will be eager to have him available as soon as possible. He’s shown a lot of faith in the defender and was full of praise for him in his pre-match press conference.
The Barca boss told reporters: “We can also use Gerard Martín in this position [center-back], I value him a lot. Last year he played fantastically, he has improved a lot. Further back he also plays well. I like players who can be versatile.”
And finally the Catalan giants also have to resolve how to fit Roony into the squad. His role for the coming season isn’t completely clear, with there having been talk of him playing with Barcelona Atletic and in the first team.
What we do know for now is that is that he will have to wait for his first La Liga minutes with the senior squad.
