Aston Villa vs Newcastle kicks off at Villa Park at 12:30pm.
If Liverpool vs Bournemouth is anything to go by, Premier League fans can expect an exciting season. The match was always going to be tinged with emotion following the tragic death of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota in July.
Thanks to goals by newcomer Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo, Liverpool were ahead by the 49th minute, but Antoine Semenyo, despite being subject to racist abuse, managed to score two goals to level it back up.
However, Chiesa, who was a substitute then scored for Liverpool, followed by Salah to make it 4-2.
When it comes to the 12.30pm match between Aston Villa vs Newcastle on Saturday July 16, the latest on Alexander Isak is that he will not be taking part in the clash. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe addressed the situation regarding Alexander Isak in the press conference and said: “It has been unchanged for a while and that will continue to be the case.”

When Howe was then asked if he had asked Isak to play in the match against Aston Villa, he said: “I’ve said many times this summer that I would want him to play and train, of course I’ve also had those conversations with him. Those conversations need to remain private.”
Eddie Howe also confirmed that Joe Willock was the only player unavailable due to his recent Achilles injury but Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman have shaken off the knocks they sustained in pre-season.
