Southampton manager Will Still has confirmed that Tyler Dibling has been reintegrated into full team training ahead of his side's clash against Ipswich Town. Dibling was a bright spark in a poor campaign for the Saints last season as they were relegated to the Sky Bet Championship.
Those impressive performances have led to the 19-year-old becoming a transfer target for Everton - this summer. The Blues have had three separate bids rejected for the England youth international, the last of which was around £37million including add-ons.
The ECHO understands that the Blues are now actively looking at alternatives to Dibling, though a move could be revisited should the Saints be willing to return to the table.
Dibling, who still has two years remaining on his contract, was left out of the Saints squad for last weekend's Championship opener against Wrexham, but Still has confirmed he could now make his first appearance of the season against Kieran McKenna's side on Sunday.
"For the moment, he's still a Southampton player - he's trained really well yesterday, and he's trained well today," the Saints boss said via the Daily ECHO.
"We'll make a decision purely based on what the team needs and where he's at physically, but we'll make that call later in the day or tomorrow.
"He's still a Southampton player, and he hasn't gone anywhere.
"I know there's been a lot of noise, there's a lot of noise about a few players. We can't control that as such, it's just part and parcel of what the transfer window is, so we'll have to wait and see."

Asked how he has been managing Dibling, Still replied: "Having honest conversations, I think he was pretty honest in the past few weeks.
"It's not the easiest thing for him - he's still very young, he's still trying to understand how it all works. I'll be honest with everyone and hope they are back.
"Everyone has been. There was some stuff about Matty [Fernandes] and Matty's come back and done really well. I'm sure Tyler will be exactly the same."
