Everton will certainly want to give newly-promoted Leeds United a warm welcome in the Premier League on Monday.
David Moyes’ team will travel to Elland Road on 18 August, with the Toffees fans looking forward to seeing some of their new signings take the pitch in LS11.
Jarrad Brathwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko are unavailable for the fixture in West Yorkshire, and it will be interesting to see how the Toffees will line up.
With the Scottish manager looking to make further progress on the work he did at the Merseyside outfit last season, anything short of a win will be disappointing.

Chris Sutton predicts Everton draw vs Leeds United
Leeds will be a tough test for the Toffees at home on their return to the Premier League, Chris Sutton says.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The former English striker has praised Daniel Farke as “underrated”, but admits he’s worried about the Whites’ defence ahead of the game against the Blues.
Sutton acknowledges the West Yorkshire outfit aren’t the most secure team, but still predicts a 1-1 draw as the Merseysiders visit Elland Road.
The 52-year-old wrote in BBC Sport on 15 August: “Leeds boss Farke is a very underrated manager and his teams always carry a threat — it’s their defence I am worried about this season.
“They will have a real go at Everton under the floodlights, and Elland Road is going to be rocking, so this is a tough opening for the Toffees.”

Moyes will be encouraged by Leeds record vs Everton
Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish should have free rein against Leeds, and he can pull the strings in the final third for the Toffees.
Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil have also been impressive during pre-season, with Thierno Barry bringing his goalscoring threat to the Blues this summer.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Merseyside outfit exploit the Whites’ defensive worries and prove Sutton’s prediction wrong.

Everton’s six signings this summer
Everton will have added motivation to beat Leeds, as they’ve been unable to win their last three opening Premier League fixtures.
Moyes will be confident of getting the three points at Elland Road, with the West Yorkshire outfit winning just one of their last six matches against the Toffees.
The last time the Whites faced the Merseysiders, they were beaten 1-0 at Goodison Park on 18 February 2023.
