Manchester City are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is likely to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old goalkeeper, who is seeking pastures new after being dropped from the squad before the UEFA Super Cup.
Since moving from AC Milan on a free transfer, the Italian goalkeeper has spent the last four seasons at Parc des Princes, and he is widely seen as one of the world's best shot-stoppers.
Donnarumma enjoyed a spectacular 2024-25 season for PSG, helping the capital giants to win a Ligue 1 and Champions League double. The Italian kept 56 clean sheets in 161 appearances and has won 10 trophies at the club, including four Ligue 1 titles.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Pep Guardiola's side are working behind the scenes to land the former Milan keeper, and they are almost close to securing a personal agreement with him.
City are optimistic that a deal can be struck once their long-serving keeper, Ederson, leaves to join Galatasaray.
The Sky Deutschland journalist further claimed on X that negotiations between City and the Turkish club are progressing smoothly, and a deal is likely to happen.
PSG recently completed the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, intending to replace the Italian. The goalkeeper took to Instagram to announce his exit, and shared that "someone has decided" that he no longer has a future at Parc des Princes.
Donnarumma's agent has recently stated he is "shocked" by the Parisiens' treatment of the keeper, as they showed "zero respect" for his client.
Man Utd and Chelsea still in the mix?

The Red Devils have been linked with a potential move for the Italian to provide competition for Andre Onana, who came under heavy criticism last season for his litany of errors between the sticks.
However, it has been suggested that Onana will remain the first-choice keeper at the club, but United could look to sign a young back-up keeper.
Chelsea have reportedly made contact to sign Donnarumma, as the Blues are looking for an upgrade over Robert Sanchez, who has been very inconsistent.
As it stands, City are leading the race to land the Italy international, and a deal is more likely to happen in the coming weeks.
