Pep Guardiola said that Ederson would be travelling with the Manchester City squad to Wolves but he was not spotted

Ederson was not included in Manchester City's squad for Wolves - minutes after Pep Guardiola said that he expected him to be.
Amid strong transfer interest from Galatasaray, the City manager told reporters on Friday afternoon that Ederson remained his No.1 goalkeeper, would "apparently" travel down to Wolves with the group, and would start "if he is fit". However, the Blues left shortly afterwards for Saturday's game and Ederson was not part of the group; the goalkeeper was described as "ill" by the club.
His absence puts James Trafford in line to make his City debut, weeks after joining the club again after two years at Burnley. Trafford was set to join Newcastle this summer but a late bid from City turned his head as they activated a buyback clause that had been inserted into his deal that took him to Turf Moor.
It also casts further doubt over Ederson's future at the club after eight years at the Etihad. The Brazilian rubbished the idea of a move away from City earlier this summer but appears to have grown receptive to an exit after all, with Turkish giants Galatasaray pushing hard.
City insisted earlier in the week that there had been no approaches for their goalkeeper and Guardiola said on Friday that the keeper has not told him that he wants to leave.

The fact that he was not included in the squad for the trip to Wolves, though, indicates that his future is in serious doubt.
Guardiola will be asked about the developments at Molineux on Saturday. Ahead of the game on Friday, he said that players had to come with an offer that the club could accept if they wanted to leave.
"At the end, as always, , the desire of the players is above everything but then they have to find an agreement with the club," he said. "If they don't take an agreement, the player will be here because the club spends money on those players."
