Rob Jones was heavily involved as West Ham United faced Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Stadium of Light hosted Graham Potter’s team on 16 August, with the game 0-0 going into the break.
Former Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen immediately showcased his qualities for the Hammers, making a brilliant save from Habib Diarra’s effort in the seventh minute.
The Irons had their moments as well, but the away fans must have undoubtedly been holding their breath towards the end of the second half.

In the 41st minute of the game, Simon Adingra played a cross into the Hammers’ box, but Max Kilman blocked it as the Black Cats were awarded a corner.
While the ball seemed to hit the 28-year-old English defender’s arms, they were tucked inside as the ball hit him in the stomach.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on 16 August at 15:45, Dean said: “His hands are tucked inside. It’s hit him right in the stomach. No penalty at all. So, a correct decision all round.”

Potter has some tough fixtures ahead at London Stadium
Potter’s team are predicted to finish 16th in the Premier League by Opta’s supercomputer, but that will certainly not be good enough for the fans.
The English manager had a demanding spell at the Hammers after replacing Julen Lopetegui last season, but there can arguably be no excuses this time around.
David Sullivan could potentially sack Potter if things don’t improve in the 2025/26 season, and the ex-Brighton boss has some tough tests ahead.
West Ham face Chelsea next at the London Stadium in the Premier League on 22 August, followed by a trip to Molineux, which may be a six-pointer for a possible relegation battle.

Nottingham Forest will then host the Hammers at the City Ground at the end of August before the international break.
The Irons then have two back-to-back home games against Tottenham and Crystal Palace in the league, and it’s hard to see Potter getting many points from the upcoming fixtures.
Supporters will hope for a few more quality additions to the team in the ongoing transfer window to help their prospects.
