Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has continued his feud with Premier League club Nottingham Forest after hinting that he may have an opinion to express on the team next week.
Last season, with Forest hosting Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League campaign, Sky Sports chose to appoint Neville for commentary duties. However, shortly before the clash at the City Ground, the ex-defender was informed he was not welcome at the stadium, with his media pass request denied.
It is understood that while he is not officially banned from the East Midlands club, Forest have no plans to welcome him until an agreement has been reached over his attitude towards the club's owner Evangelos Marinakis. Neville has been critical of the owner, most recently following the draw against Leicester City where he described it as 'scandalous' that Marinakis entered the field of play at full-time.
A conversation was had between Marinakis and his head coach Nuno Espirito Santo on the pitch. Forest later released an indirect statement calling on ex-players not to spread 'fake news online' after the insinuation was made that Marinakis entered the field of play to confront the manager.
Forest claim the owner had actually entered the field of play to check on the wellbeing of forward Taiwo Awoniyi who picked up a serious injury. In a bid to stir the pot on Friday night, Jamie Carragher asked Neville if he would be in the East Midlands this weekend as Sky cover Forest's opener against Brentford.

Neville replied: "No I won't be at Nottingham Forest because I wasn't chosen for that fixture, I was chosen for United vs Arsenal but I have been chosen for Monday Night Football." The Sky Sports programme hosted by David Jones and Jamie Carragher delves deep into the entirety of the weekend's action before the last fixture of the matchday which shall be Leeds vs Everton.
Undoubtedly, Neville will be quizzed on the situation at Forest and it seems we are no closer to the feud between these two parties ending.
