Cleveland Cavaliers have hired Eli Kell-Abrams as head coach of their G League team, the Cleveland Charge.
Cleveland Cavaliers have named Eli Kell-Abrams as the new head coach of their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, according to Michael Sotto of HoopsHype.
Kell-Abrams spent the past two seasons as a video coordinator with the Portland Trail Blazers, helping break down game film and develop NBA talent.
Before Portland, he worked with the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat, gaining experience with top-level coaching staffs focused on player development and analytics.
This will be Kell-Abrams’ first head coaching role, where he will lead young players in the Charge and help prepare them for NBA opportunities.
The Cavaliers see this move as part of their ongoing effort to strengthen their G League pipeline and support emerging talent.
