The position that is of desperate need to Everton at the moment is a right-back, and the perfect option could be waiting.
David Moyes knows a right-back is of importance following the hernia injury to Nathan Patterson.
It will likely mean that Jake O’Brien starts at right-back against Leeds United, but James Garner could also be an option.
The Scotsman has a predicament, and the need for improvement on that right side of defence is obvious.
Moyes is assessing options, and one new target has appeared on Everton’s radar, who has the best accolade of all, the World Cup.

“One player I am told they have had an interest in is Nahuel Molina at Atletico Madrid – Bournemouth also linked,” Bailey said.
“However, Atletico are not sure about him going – also he is being offered to Juventus as possible part of Nico Gonzalez deal.”
Molina played a pivotal role in Argentina’s 2022 World Cup-winning campaign, and Moyes will be very interested in bringing in someone of the 27-year-old’s experience.
His credentials speak for themselves, and Molina could have joined the Premier League much earlier than expected.
Former Everton player Mikel Arteta wanted Nahuel Molina at Arsenal
The Atleti full-back is an attacking option from defence, which would be a different alternative for Everton.
He’s defensively sound as well after learning in Diego Simeone’s set-up, which is known to be a brick wall at times.

This is something Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wanted to add in 2022, as before even impressing at the Qatar World Cup, the former Toffees player wanted to add Molina to his plans, according to Calciomercato, where he was even willing to do a swap deal to secure him.
Of course, the former Udinese star went on to play an integral part in Lionel Messi winning his first World Cup, scoring in the big moments.
Molina would add that South American fight into Everton’s squad that they have been missing, as Carlos Alcaraz would no doubt welcome the 27-year-old.
A right-back should be the main priority, and although Atleti are unsure about letting the Argentine leave, Moyes must go all in.
