The Washington Commanders are back in Ashburn for the eighteenth day of training camp practices. Terry McLaurin was activated from the PUP list, but wasn’t practicing today. Head coach Dan Quinn [spoke to the media after practice](/pressers/369783/dan-quinn-terry-mclaurin-wont-play-monday-night-starting-return-to-play-process) and said it’s very unlikely McLaurin plays during the preseason. He is still looking for a contract extension with the team, and getting activated from PUP is a start to his return to the field.
Quinn ruled out 12 players for Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals including McLaurin and Sam Cosmi who remains on PUP(ACL). Jordan Magee is being ramped up from an undisclosed injury, and hasn’t been a full participant in practice in over a week. He won’t play, but Quinn said he’s on track. Jacory “Bill” Croskey-Merritt was in a non-contact jersey today after being a full go in yesterday’s padded practice. He will make his home debut against the Bengals Monday night.
The Jayden Daniels to Deebo Samuel connection has been getting stronger every day, and they had another good practice today. Daniels hit him for a 50-yard TD pass, and also connected with rookie Jaylin Lane and second-year WR Luke McCaffrey. Javon Kinlaw continues to have strong practices, and Quinn talked about it after practice.
