Darwin Nunez has shared a post from Liverpool on social media and interacted with several of his now former teammates after the 4-2 win over Bournemouth. Nunez completed a permanent transfer to the Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal last Saturday.

The striker was no stranger to scoring against the Cherries while a Red, with four goals in his six appearances against them. That is the most Nunez managed versus the same club, with the 26-year-old international also putting four past another south coast team in Southampton, albeit across two fewer games.

Hugo Ekitike opened the scoring in his absence before Cody Gakpo doubled the Reds' lead. However, Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah won the match after an Antoine Semenyo brace.

Nunez liked the latter's Instagram post. The first photo showed Salah doing Diogo Jota's shark celebration.

He has also shared a post from Liverpool's verified account showing a special mosaic displayed across the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Spion Kop at Anfield in honour of Andre Silva and Jota. Individual placards laid out by volunteers spelt out their initials and shirt numbers when held aloft by Reds supporters.

"An impeccably observed period of silence for Diogo and Andre," the club captioned that post, punctuated by a red heart emoji. Nunez shared their post on his Instagram story, also adding a red heart emoji to the post.

He also liked a post from Alexis Mac Allister that pays tribute to Jota. "Nothing better than starting the Premier League with a home win," its caption reads. "Paragraph apart, the atmosphere at Anfield: without words. We will always remember you, Diogo."

Nunez did likewise with another from Virgil van Dijk. "Back home," the post's caption begins with an added red heart emoji. "An emotional game, but we found a way to win!"
