La Liga club Real Betis are eyeing a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko in the window as the Ukrainian utility man’s time at Arsenal is at an end.
According to Fichajes, Real Betis have joined the race for Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Manuel Pellegrini keen on the 28-year-old Arsenal utility man. The Gunners are open to selling the Ukrainian international, although there are plenty of complications to get a deal in place.
Oleksandr Zinchenko has been in the news of late owing to some of the things he mentioned in the new chapter of his autobiography. The former Manchester City man has not been involved by Mikel Arteta as much as he would have liked, with the player already phased out of the manager’s plans for the moment.
Arsenal are ready to sell Zinchenko, with suggestions that there are multiple clubs keeping tabs on the 28-year-old Arsenal utility man. With the World Cup on the horizon, the full-back would love to have a regular role at the club or elsewhere, which could see him push for a move.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is already into the final year of his deal at Arsenal, and the club are open to cashing in. Clubs like Fenerbahce and FC Porto are interested, with the player likely to evaluate offers before the transfer deadline. The issue could circle around Zinchenko’s wages, which might scupper the club’s chances of selling him.
Arsenal and Fenerbahce were in talks as per reports, but so far nothing has moved in regards of the player finalising an exit from the club. Real Betis are the latest to enter the race, as Manuel Pellegrini seems to value what the 28-year-old Arsenal utility man can offer to his side.

Real Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini wants a versatile player who could change the dynamics of how his team plays. The Seville side are not flush with cash, and certainly not in a positioon to pay Zinvhenko’s currently makes in terms of wages, but they are willing to sit down and discuss terms with Arsenal and the player.
Oleksandr Zinchenko could offer big competition for the left-back slot, while also competing with Betis’ current midfielders. With the World Cup on the horizon, the player must feature regularly, as an exit from Arsenal looks imminent, but difficult at the same time.
