Manchester United get their Premier League season underway with an important game against Arsenal. It cannot get tougher on the opening night of a new season where a lot is on the line for the Red Devils.

Having endured such a poor Premier League season last time around, finishing 15th in the Premier League table, Ruben Amorim will be keen for his side to get off to a winning start, especially after the blockbuster signings that they have made.

The club has brought in the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon this summer and one would expect the former three names to be involved against the Gunners, either from the start or the bench.

Amorim confirmed a day ago that everyone except Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui are expected to be available for selection at Old Trafford tomorrow, and with all this in mind, here is how we think the manager could set his team up against Arsenal.

In goal, Altay Bayindir is expected to start in goal ahead of Andre Onana, despite the latter being declared fit ahead of the game. The three central defenders on the night could be Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

Patrick Dorgu is expected to start as the left wing-back with Diogo Dalot preferred to Amad Diallo on the right to ensure defensive solidity against Gabriel Martinelli or Noni Madueke, both of whom are extremely rapid.

The midfield could see Bruno Fernandes partnering Manuel Ugarte. The former will be operating in a slightly deeper role than usual but with his talent, he would likely be more than comfortable playing in that position.

The attack is fairly straightforward with Matheus Cunha starting on the left and Bryan Mbeumo starting on the right as they done almost throughout pre-season. The only real question is whether or not Benjamin Sesko gets the nod.

Amorim has confirmed that the Slovenian is ready to start if needed but if he isn’t, then the coach could start Mason Mount in the role and use him like a false-nine, which would give more control against Arsenal. Let’s wait and see how the Portuguese tactician goes about lining up his team against Arteta’s men.
