DANGO Ouattara has completed a move to Brentford from AFC Bournemouth.

The forward joins the Bees for a fee of £37million, plus £5m in add-ons, a club record for the London side.

Ouattara told the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) that he wanted to leave the Dorset club, and he joins Brentford after the Bees lost Bryan Mbeumo, and with speculation swirling around the future of Yoanne Wissa.

On Thursday, Andoni Iraola admitted that he wasn’t certain if he would be in the squad for the Cherries’ season opener at Liverpool, but Ouattara was authorised to travel to Brentford on Friday to complete the move.

The 23-year-old Burkina Faso international made 88 total appearances for the south coast club, after he joined from Lorient in January 2023, for a fee of £20m.

He had his most productive season in a Cherries shirt last term, playing a total of 37 times in all competitions, including 32 in the Premier League, scoring nine goals and notching four assists.

Three of his goals came in a hattrick as Bournemouth beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 at the Vitality Stadium in January, at the end of a club-record unbeaten streak of 11 games in the top flight.

Brentford finished last season in tenth, one place below the Cherries in ninth.
