Everton are set to be reunited with Dominic Calvert-Lewin already against Leeds United on Monday evening, just two months after he left.
Calvert-Lewin departed Goodison Park upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June and has signed with the newly-promoted side.
Leeds have registered the former Everton star in time for the clash, so David Moyes’s side may face off against their former striker and Jack Harrison, who spent the last two seasons on loan with them.
They will be hoping that the decision for Everton to sign Thierno Barry, rather than keeping the 28-year-old around, does not come back to haunt them.

Calvert-Lewin to start from the bench vs Everton
Moyes may be a relieved man, as it appears that Daniel Farke will keep Calvert-Lewin out of the starting line-up in the Premier League opener on 18 August.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
A report from Mail Sport (16 August) claims that the German is not going to rush his new addition into action.
It states that the ex-Toffees star is likely to start from the bench for the clash, as his minutes are managed, despite looking in great shape upon signing.

Will Calvert-Lewin get on the pitch for Leeds against Everton?
It remains to be seen whether Calvert-Lewin can make an impact against his former employers or if he will be forced to watch on while his teammates attempt to do so.
Blues supporters will hope it is the latter, as it would be typical if he came on and scored a late winner against them.
Calvert-Lewin joined Everton from Sheffield United in 2016
Scored 71 goals and made 22 assists in 273 appearances
Missed 83 games for club and country since the 2021-22 season
It probably all depends on his fitness levels, but as he has reportedly been working with specialist coaches during the offseason to try and get to peak fitness, you would expect him to feature at some point in the contest.
Toffees fans will wish him the best. He provided so many memorable moments and gave everything for the shirt while it was on his back; they will just hope that he struggles against them on the opening weekend.
A departure was the right outcome for all parties, but it could come back to haunt Moyes and Co if Calvert-Lewin gets onto the pitch at any point and is back to his best form.
