FC Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski expressed his praise for Real Madrid coach and former teammate Xabi Alonso, saying he has a lot of potential, in a recent interview with ESPN.
This would be Alonso’s first season in charge of a team in La Liga, and in the interview, Lewandowski was asked about him, to which he only had good things to say.
Lewandowski said he has a “good future” and is “going to be one of the best” in some time, praising his man-management and tactical skills.
He said: “Xabi Alonso has a great future as a coach. Not only tactically, but also as a personality. In the future, he is going to be one of the best, maybe the best. He is a guy who can bring the best out of each player.”
Alonso has already had a brilliant start to his career as a football coach, having won trophies with Bayer Leverkusen, and he will hope to repeat that success with the fiercest rivals of Lewandowski’s club.
