2 winners (and 3 losers) in Eagles' flat 22-13 loss against the Browns

Despite it being just preseason, Philadelphia Eagles fans couldn't help but feel uneasy about the depth of the roster after the team took a 22-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the preseason.

The number one concern was the offense, which had under 100 total yards of offense, while the defense struggled, allowing over 330 yards of offense and 74% of their passes to be completed. Two turnovers were created by the Eagles' defense, with rookie Andrew Mukuba with a 75-yard pick-six.

A performance like this doesn't exactly bring in many winners and more players or position groups need to improve before their final preseason game.

Winners: LBs Jihaad Campbell & Jeremiah Trotter Jr.

All that momentum from the practices this week at training camp carried over into the game for linebackers Jihaad Campbell and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Campbell had a sack on the first drive and finished with four tackles and one tackle for loss. Trotter walked away with a team-high seven tackles, three of them being solo. Campbell's speed and Trotter's instincts are a deadly combo as both are fighting for playing time this season.

Losers: Eagles Cornerbacks

Outside of some nice tackling by Adoree' Jackson and a great pass deflection by Jakorian Bennett, the Eagles' cornerbacks did not particularily play well. Kelee Ringo did not make any memorable plays as Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel went 13 of 18 for 144 yards in the first half. The more the Eagles play the backups, the bigger the questions will be about the depth of the position group.

Winners: Eagles Safeties

Honestly, the safeties were the ones making plays in the secondary. Mukuba had two highlight plays with a 75-yard pick-six and a fumble recovery. Sydney Brown made two nice tackles in the open field. Tristin McCollum was laying some big hits and finished with three tackles. These were encouraging performances from three guys who needed to prove themselves.

Loser: QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson

DTR was not able to do anything on offense. He completed three of four passes for eight yards on four drives in the first half and threw an ugly pick-six on the second offensive drive of the game. The offense did not look good at all, so not everything is on Thompson-Robinson, but Kyle McCord arguably looked better than DTR (not by much, though).

Loser: RB Keilan Robinson

Robinson has not done himself any favors by sneaking into the 53-man roster or the practice squad. He had 12 carries for 24 yards in last week's game against the Bengals. Robinson followed up with six carries for nine yards against Cleveland. With the depth at running back with Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, and A.J. Dillon leading the way, every touch counts, and Robinson has had the most carries at running back for the Eagles, and he's barely averaging two yards a carry.
