Anthony Richardson Sr., Daniel Jones both play in first half of Colts' preseason game vs.…

The ball quickly returned to Richardson's hands thanks to a forced fumble by defensive tackle Tim Smith and recovery by linebacker Austin Ajiake, putting the Colts at the Packers' 22-yard line to start. Rookie running back D.J. Giddens burst across the line of scrimmage for a 12-yard run, but after a series of incompletions the Colts once again settled for a field goal to go up 13-0.

The Colts had one more offensive drive in the second quarter, but it ended quickly; after an eight-yard run from Giddens, Richardson threw an incompletion, had a deep ball called back due to an offensive offsides penalty and was sacked.

With that being his final drive, Richardson finished the day six-for-11 for 73 yards.

The Colts took a 13-3 lead into the second quarter, teeing up Riley Leonard to take over under center. The rookie quarterback would play through the entire third quarter and all but one last drive in the fourth quarter. That was left to Jason Bean, who came in and led the Colts quickly downfield, connecting with wide receiver Coleman Owen for multiple chunk plays. As the clock wound down, Bean launched a deep ball to tight end Jelani Woods but it was ruled an incomplete pass.

Spencer Shrader took, and made, all of the kicks during Saturday's game, with 25-yard and 29-yard field goals in the first half and a 56-yarder and a 32-yarder in the second half.

On the other side of the ball, cornerback Chris Lammons had a stellar day with three tackles, multiple pass breakups and a near interception. He also forced a handful of incompletions thanks to strong coverage downfield and recorded a sack.

Left tackle Blake Freeland exited the game with a leg injury in the second quarter.
