Manchester United are still aiming to secure funding for Rúben Amorim this summer as they look to offload their outcast players.
Manchester United’s transfer activity is still ongoing, with Ruben Amorim working to refine his squad ahead of his first full season in charge.
After spending around £214 million on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško to strengthen their attack, United will now need to generate funds through player sales to support further additions.
The club is reportedly still targeting reinforcements in several key areas, including a goalkeeper to compete with or potentially replace André Onana, and a holding midfielder.
Among those likely to depart is Antony, who impressed during a loan spell in the latter half of last season and is now expected to secure a permanent move away.
Antony targeted by Turkish clubs
Despite only wanting a move back to Real Betis, StrettyNews has reported that the Brazilian doesn’t have a shortage of suitors, with the three most prominent clubs in Turkey—Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş—all showing interest in a move for the winger.
All three clubs are reportedly willing to match United’s £35 million asking price, but are hoping to secure the 25-year-old on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Sources close to the publication have also revealed that there is interest from Benfica and Saudi Pro League giants. Still, Antony has no desire to play in the Saudi League ahead of the World Cup in America next year.
Both the player and United will hope for a resolution soon, as it would benefit both parties to bring Antony’s tenure at the club to a close.
INEOS’ ultimatum to Antony
As recently reported, INEOS have issued an ultimatum to Antony, urging him to find a new club, or risk spending the campaign on the sidelines in a World Cup season.
Antony has his heart set on a return to Betis after his “brilliant” displays there last season, but this move is yet to materialise, andit feels as if United are being disrespected in negotiations between the two clubs.

After previously claiming to want regular game time to play himself back into the Brazil squad for the World Cup next summer, Antony will be dismayed by what has happened in the transfer window.
The Brazilian has missed out on a full pre-season at a potential new club, and if a move does come to fruition, there is a high chance that he will struggle to hit the ground running owing to the lack of football played over the summer.
