Justin Fields looked like he might be able to do some damage this season under center for the Jets after going 3-4 for 42 yards and running in a 13-yard touchdown in his New York debut last weekend. Although the sample size was extremely small, Fields displayed the talent that made him a promising prospect when he entered the NFL.
Jaxson Dart also looked good in his first professional action. He entered the game after the veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, and immediately picked up where they left off. The Giants quarterbacks combined to throw for 317 yards and three touchdowns in their preseason opener, with Dart contributing 154 and a score.
