Tyrese Haliburton pledges $3 million donation to Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - At the [dedication of the Frank Schade Fieldhouse](https://www.wbay.com/2025/08/16/oshkosh-north-dedicates-fieldhouse-former-head-coach-frank-schade/) on Friday, Indiana Pacers point guard and Oshkosh North alum Tyrese Haliburton announced plans to donate $3 million to his alma mater.

Haliburton’s donation will span the next three years to benefit the school’s athletic department. Specifically, the money will go towards new scoreboards, video boards, a weight room, and the signage for the newly dedicated Frank Schade Fieldhouse.

“This community, this school means a lot to me,” Haliburton said. “I really cherish this place. I cherish the people within it as well, and I know I wouldn’t be where I am without this place. I think the sense of community is something that’s been instilled in me my whole life from my family and understanding not to forget where you come from. There’s just many things that I want to be able to help out with. I’m blessed to be in the position that I am, so if I can take any time to help out in any part of the community, I want to take advantage of that. It truly does mean a lot for me.”

Haliburton signed a 5-year contract extension worth up to $260 million with the Indiana Pacers in July 2023. The point guard is currently recovering from a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in June.
