Serbia held a 70–55 lead after three quarters, but Germany stormed back with a 16–3 run, cutting the gap to just two points (73–71). Still, the Serbs steadied themselves in the closing minutes to seal the win.

Germany will play in EuroBasket Group B in Tampere, facing Finland, Montenegro, Sweden, Lithuania, and Great Britain. Serbia will compete in Group A in Riga against Latvia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Turkiye, and Portugal.
