Arsenal will now kick off their Premier League season with a tricky trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
Last season Arsenal earned four points from the league clashes against Manchester United – Mikel Arteta’s side won at the Emirates and drew away from home.
In the lead-up to the game, Rio Ferdinand has given his Arsenal vs Man United score prediction, a difficult game to call.
Arsenal enjoyed a positive end to their pre-season against Athletic Club winning 3-0, but United have also taken positives from their own preparation under Ruben Amorim.
That being said, Arteta does have one, two or maybe even three big selection calls to make against United.
Viktor Gyokeres starts from the bench in Arsenal line-up against Man United
Starting in goal, there’s very little doubt around David Raya’s starting spot, even if Kepa Arrizabalaga has come in.
In front of Raya, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will definitely be the centre-back pairing, barring any late injury.

And whilst Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori are pushing for starts as well, it will probably be Jurrien Timber and Myles Lewis-Skelly at full-back.
In the middle of the park, Martin Zubimendi should make his full debut for Arsenal – he’ll sit just behind Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard.
But when it comes to Arteta’s attacking trio, there is serious room for debate.
In the lead-up to Sunday afternoon’s clash, Theo Walcott predicted Kai Havertz to start ahead of Viktor Gyokeres, and TBR Football are inclined to agree.
Noni Madueke might also hope to start on the left, but Arteta looks set to start with a fairly familiar trio.

Arsenal injury latest before Manchester United
Fortunately for Arteta, Arsenal nearly have a clean bill of health for their Premier League opener.
Gabriel Jesus has seemingly stepped up in his return once again, but he’s still a long way away from first-team action.
Otherwise, Arteta confirmed in his press conference that Leandro Trossard was doing “much better.”
Trossard picked up a knock in the Gunners’ pre-season defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in Asia, and the winger hasn’t featured since.
But Arteta confirmed that the Belgian was expected to train over the weekend and be ready.
Trossard is set to leave Arsenal before the end of the transfer window, but that shouldn’t affect his selection beforehand.
And despite some worries about Martin Zubimendi’s fitness after missing the club’s media day images, Arteta confirmed that his compatriot will be fit.
