It's time for the talking to end. Arsenal will start their 2025-26 Premier League season on Sunday, with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

However, the start of the new season doesn't signal the end of the Gunners' transfer dealings. In fact, things are likely to ramp up following a relatively quiet couple of weeks after the signing of Viktor Gyokeres.

The arrival of the Swedish striker has taken Arsenal's summer expenditure to £195million, as Mikel Arteta aims to assemble a team capable of finally clinching the Premier League title.

But it's not just about incoming players. Sales will be necessary to balance the Gunners' spending, with several departures anticipated.

Here, the Daily Star Sport looks at the latest Arsenal transfer news.

Eberechi Eze is expected to sit out Crystal Palace's first match of the season as he nears a move to north London - but not with Arsenal. Tottenham have emerged as the favourites to sign the England international after Spurs star James Maddison sustained a severe knee injury in pre-season.

According to The Sun, Eze, 27, is open to joining Tottenham as he seeks Champions League football. Sources suggest that the Palace midfielder is unlikely to feature against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on his way to Fenerbahce, following reports that Arsenal have agreed to let him go. The 28-year-old Ukrainian is said to be open to a move away from the Gunners as he enters the final year of his contract.

Turkish media outlet Sporx has reported that Fenerbahce have been in discussions with Arsenal for a week, and their sporting director, Devin Ozek, has met with Arsenal's Andrea Berta to negotiate terms for the defender. It's believed that the two clubs have settled on a €3m (£2.6m) loan fee with an option to buy for €10m (£8.6m) at the end of the season.

Now, all eyes are on Zinchenko as he decides his next move.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong as a potential free agent signing next summer. Despite expressing his desire to stay at Barca, the 28-year-old midfielder's current contract expires in June 2026 and he has yet to sign a new deal amidst the club's ongoing financial difficulties.

Spanish publication Fichajes suggests that Arsenal are plotting a move for De Jong. Manager Mikel Arteta reportedly sees the Dutch international as the ideal addition to his midfield and believes his experience would be a significant asset.
