Everton will reportedly compete with Crystal Palace and AC Milan to sign 25-year-old Polish international Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Caught Offside, Jakub Kiwior is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are scouring the market for a centre-back this summer and have set their sights on the Arsenal utility man. Meanwhile, the Polish international is also a target for Crystal Palace and AC Milan, with the Rossoneri submitting an enquiry over a possible move.
Jakub Kiwior and his Arsenal frustrations
Jakub Kiwior has endured a frustrating spell since joining Arsenal from Spezia Calcio in a deal worth £20 million in January 2023. While the Pole has been impressive whenever he has received the opportunities to make his mark, he has not been a regular starter for the North London club in the last two and a half years.
However, the 25-year-old defender’s ability to play as a centre-back and a left-back has helped him become a utility man for the North London club. Kiwior has over 50 outings thus far for the Premier League club while chipping in with three goals and five assists. However, the player’s search for regular game time may take him away from Arsenal, with AC Milan, Crystal Palace, and Everton vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
A man in demand
The Polish international has been on AC Milan’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, considering Malick Thiaw has joined Newcastle United this summer. So, the Rossoneri can do with a new centre-back, with Kiwior’s ability to play as a left-back making him an appealing target. The Serie A giants have submitted an enquiry over a possible move for the Arsenal utility man.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace’s interest in Jakub Kiwior makes sense. The South London outfit may lose Marc Guehi in the summer transfer window, as the English international has entered the final 12 months of his contract. The Crystal Palace captain’s situation has piqued the attention of several bigwigs, with Manchester United competing with Liverpool for his signature. So, the Pole is a viable target for the Eagles.
As for Everton, David Moyes has four centre-backs in his squad. However, James Tarkowski and Michael Keane are on the wrong side of 30, with the latter being a peripheral figure.
