Douglas Luiz sends intriguing reaction after Nottingham Forest sign Omari Hutchinson, there's a …

Nottingham Forest are cranking up their recruitment drive after a summer of uncertainty over their place in Europe.

There haven’t been any issues over whether or not Forest would be competing in Europe, but the competition was only decided last Monday.

Forest will now take part in the Europa League next season, after Crystal Palace saw their appeal thrown out and Evangelos Marinakis has loosened the purse strings.

Omari Hutchinson checked in at Forest yesterday and although he can’t feature for the Reds today, he looks like an exciting addition with bags of potential.

More signings are set to follow and perhaps one potential signing is already starting to get used to his new surroundings at Forest from afar.

Douglas Luiz likes Omari Hutchinson post on Instagram

Douglas Luiz has been heavily linked with a move to Forest this summer and it’s been claimed that perhaps things are getting very close.

As a result, it was very intriguing when, after being announced as a new Forest player, Hutchinson found one of his posts being liked by the Juventus star.

There is one logical reason why this has taken place, with Hutchinson and Luiz sharing an agent, but this still feels like a substantial hint that the 27-year-old is Nottingham-bound.

Forest also signed James McAtee from Manchester City on Saturday and it would appear as though more players are going to follow after today’s game against Brentford.

Luiz would be amazing Forest signing

With the Europa League now set to be on the radar this season, Forest have become a more attractive proposition for new signings this summer.

Luiz has been a long-running pursuit from a Forest perspective and hopefully, this one is as close as it’s now being made out in some sections of the media.

Forest are missing Nicolas Dominguez through injury in their midfield engine room and another option would most certainly be welcomed.

Luiz played over 200 times for Aston Villa during his previous Premier League stint, and with European experience under his belt, he could be a game-changing signing for the Reds.
