Erling Haaland loves what Wolves fans could be heard singing about Matheus Nunes

Erling Haaland proved to be a big problem for Wolves’ defence, which is something that didn’t shock any Old Gold supporters.

The Norwegian opened the scoring in the first half, making it 1-0 in the 34th minute, before later scoring a second with 61 minutes played to put Manchester City 3-0 up at Molineux.

The game ultimately ended 4-0, leaving Wolves fans worried about a couple of players’ performances.

After the match, Haaland took to social media to discuss an event that happened during the game, but it wasn’t anything that took place on the pitch.

Erling Haaland enjoyed Wolves fans’ chant about Matheus Nunes

While Erling Haaland netted a brace, it wasn’t just the on-pitch performance that the striker took pleasure in; he was highly amused by the song sung by the Old Gold towards teammate Matheus Nunes.

The Portuguese midfielder was a second-half substitute, and Molineux was quick to let him know their feelings about their former player, with Nunes booed by Wolves fans.

Alongside the jeers, the Old Gold sang ‘Your teeth are offside’ towards the Manchester City man, and it was a song that Haaland found quite funny.

Haaland, who posted to his public Snapchat story, shared a picture with Nunes, captioned: ‘Your teeth are offside your teeth are offsiiiiide mateus nunes your teeth are offside’ followed by a string of laughing emojis.

The midfielder can be seen in the photo displaying his teeth and joining in on the fun with the Man City no. 9.

Additionally, the Portuguese man got involved on social media himself after full-time, as Matheus Nunes taunted Wolves fans through Instagram.

A move that will only further his bad reputation at Molineux.

Wolves fans need more to cheer about on the pitch

While the chant about Matheus Nunes would certainly have been amusing in the stadium, Wolves fans will be hoping for a lot more to cheer about rather than singing about a former player.

The club struggled to impress throughout pre-season, and while they did face one of the Premier League’s strongest sides, their form has seemed to roll over into the league campaign.

Multiple pundits have predicted Wolves to be relegated, and if the club are unable to bring any more new players in, that could become a reality.

Vitor Pereira has said he expects three signings, but with a couple of weeks left of the transfer window, Fosun will need to start moving quickly.

Or else, Wolves could see themselves falling below the pack early on and find themselves fighting for survival.
