Rodrigo Muniz scored a dramatic 96th-minute equaliser for Fulham in their first game of the new Premier League season away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The striker did not start on the south coast, but he replaced Raul Jimenez up top midway through the second half. Lewis Dunk inadvertently flicked an Emile Smith Rowe corner into the path of Muniz, who controlled the ball on his thigh before firing across Bart Verbruggen on the half-volley.
After scoring in front of the away end, he celebrated with the Fulham fans. One of them then threw a scarf that landed at the feet of Muniz.
"Come on Fulham," it read, with the striker picking it up before holding the scarf above his head in front of them. Muniz then threw it back into the crowd - before returning to the pitch and receiving a yellow card from referee Samuel Barrott for excessive celebration.
Those same supporters - as reported by journalist Jack Kelly - were chanting: "Rodrigo Muniz, we want you to stay" as early as the 18th minute. Another rendition then followed as the players walked down the tunnel afterwards.
Atalanta reportedly made a £34million offer for Muniz, that Fulham rejected this week. Fulham's head coach Marco Silva said of his striker on Thursday: "Offers and bids we've received - I will not comment.

"He knows what I think about him, how important he is for our club. We will decide what is best for the club and Rodrigo."
Fulham turned down a £32million bid, comprising of £26m up-front and £6m in add-ons, from Leeds towards the start of this summer transfer window. Muniz has been the Whites' number one striker target.
However, they have now pivoted to signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer. As such, a move for Muniz now appears highly unlikely.
