Eagles just needed two preseason games to send former fifth-round pick packing

Pretty much every offensive player on the Philadelphia Eagles in their 22-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the preseason struggled, but one Eagle has now struggled in two consecutive games.

Eagles running back Keilan Robinson has not had the best start to his Philadelphia tenure since the team signed him back in June. Robinson started things with 12 carries for 24 yards in the team's win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 of the preseason. He followed up with six carries for nine yards against the Browns.

His overall stats in preseason? 18 carries for 33 yards. That's an average of 1.8 yards per carry.

Robinson is as good as gone on the Eagles' roster that is already deep at running back

Let's be clear, no one on the Eagles' offense did anything to separate themselves from anyone else in position battles. Nobody played well after just 88 total yards of offense.

Even when the Eagles' offense was thriving last week against Cincinnati, Robinson just hasn't had any luck. He has had runs of 14 yards and eight yards, but outside of that, it's mostly been him getting clogged up at the line for losses.

Currently, at running back, Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, and A.J. Dillon are the locks to make it. If the Eagles decide to have a fourth running back, it feels as though Montrell Johnson Jr. and ShunDerrick Powell has a better shot at making the roster. Powell also struggled against the Browns with -5 yards on three carries, but two of those run were poor blocking by the offensive line and Johnson finished with a team-high 20 yards on six carries.

Robinson's only shot at making the team is being great on special teams. He did have a kickoff return against Cleveland as he got one for 24 yards.

It's going to take a miracle for Robinson to make the roster at this point and he might be playing more to have tape for another team to sign him when the Eagles eventually release him.
