Manchester United and Arsenal begin their respective Premier League campaigns with a huge clash at Old Trafford. After a poor first eight months in charge, Ruben Amorim will be desperate to start the new season with a positive result.
He has been backed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe in the transfer market with close to £200million in new signings after buying Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko this summer. The Gunners have also spent heavily with the signing of Viktor Gyokeres proving to be one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer.
Now fans will be able to see how they all get on in competitive action for the first time, as United and Mikel Arteta's men come together in the biggest match of the opening weekend. Ahead of the blockbuster encounter, Mirror Football takes you through everything you need to know.
What channel is Man Utd vs Arsenal on?
In order to tune into the match on television, viewers must switch over to Sky Sports Main Event or Sky Sports Premier League.
Viewers who watch Chelsea's home clash against Crystal Palace or Nottingham Forest's home game against Brentford, which both kick off at 2pm, will not need to switch channel as United vs Arsenal will closely follow those games.

What is Sky Sports' new TV deal?

This summer, Sky Sports announced a brand new television deal for Premier League matches. For the 2025/26 campaign, the broadcaster revealed they will be showing more matches from the top division of English football than ever before.
They announced a minimum of 215 live Premier League games will be broadcast throughout the 2025/26 campaign after finalising a new four-year television rights agreement. This is an increase from 128 Premier League games from the previous deal.
It will see at least four matches per week be broadcast on the channel for customers who tune in via their televisions, tablets, laptops or mobile phones. For the first time in its history, it also revealed all 10 matches on the final day of the Premier League campaign will also be screened by the platform.
What time is kick off?
Arsenal vs United will kick off at 4.30pm BST on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Punditry and analysis for the game will begin at 4pm, half an hour before the referee blows the starting whistle to begin the match.

Gyokeres looks set to make his Premier League debut for the Gunners after recently scoring an impressive header in a 3-0 friendly victory over Athletic Bilbao. Gabriel Jesus will miss the match as he is still recovering from a knee injury suffered last season.
For United, Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez is still recovering from an injury, but Luke Shaw, who missed the majority of last season, could start for the Red Devils. United goalkeeper Andre Onana may also return between the sticks, despite missing most of pre-season with a hamstring injury.
