Transfer news and rumours: Bournemouth in 'advanced talks' for Leverkusen attacker

Bournemouth are reportedly in advanced negotiations over a deal for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Amine Adli.

It was announced on Saturday that Bournemouth had sold Dango Ouattara to fellow Premier League side Brentford, while Luis Sinisterra looks set to join Cruzeiro in Brazil.

As a result, Bournemouth are looking to strengthen their attacking ranks before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.

According to journalist Florian Plettenburg, Bournemouth are in 'advanced talks' with Leverkusen over a move for Adli.

The winger has already reached an agreement with Bournemouth and is now waiting to be given the go-ahead for a medical.

However, Leverkusen will only sanction his departure once they have strengthened Erik ten Hag's wide options.

Fulham persisting with Kevin pursuit

Elsewhere, Fulham are reportedly refusing to give up their pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Cottagers have already seen two bids rejected from Shakhtar for the 22-year-old.

However, the update claims that negotiations are expected to continue over a potential move for a player who is under contract until 2028.

The Premier League club are also planning to hold fresh talks with the player's representatives next week.

Kevin has scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 55 competitive appearances since he joined Shakhtar from Palmeiras in January 2024.

From Fulham's perspective, they are desperate to bring in reinforcements after making just one new addition to Marco Silva's squad this summer.

Rangers eyeing Meghoma loan move

Meanwhile, Rangers boss Russell Martin has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Brentford defender Jayden Meghoma.

The 19-year-old played under Martin at Southampton, before he completed a permanent transfer to Brentford last summer.

After spending the second half of last season with Preston, the youngster is likely to head back out on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.

Martin has now admitted he would like to bring Meghoma to Ibrox, with Rangers set to offload their current first-choice left-back Jefte.

"Jayden is a player we know from Southampton, spent a year with us as a young boy, training every day, understands the work, top talent, plays for England at all the youth levels," Martin told reporters.

"Brentford signed him for a lot of money for a teenager, and he went on loan last year in the Championship and did really well.

"So he's a player we know and like, and hopefully at some point he'll be a Rangers player and you'll know that when he is."

Martin is also hopeful that Rangers will make new additions before the first leg of their Champions League playoff round tie against Club Brugge on Tuesday.
