Everton and Crystal Palace are touted as potential destinations for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.
David Moyes wants more new players at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as he will look to build on last season’s impressive performance.
Everton signed Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry to strengthen their attack, but they are keen on adding to their midfield ranks.

Rob Edwards leaves door ajar for Hackney exit
Rob Edwards admitted that the 23-year-old loves the club but has not gone as far as to confirm that he won’t be leaving this summer.
He also claims that the last few weeks have been difficult for Hackney, amid the uncertainty over his future.

Edwards said: “He’s been extremely professional throughout and he loves the club. I couldn’t be happier with him.
“The way I see things right now, he’s here with us and that’s all there is to it right now. He loves the place, and I think his performance showed that.
“It’s been hard for him over these last couple of weeks. I’ll always check in with him, but players will quite often just give you the ‘I’m alright Rob’, because they don’t want to tell me the truth.”

Everton could launch a bid for Hackney
Everton’s interest in Hackney could lead to a bid, as Moyes seeks to bolster his midfield following departures like Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The box-to-box midfielder impressed with five goals and three assists in 43 Championship games last season, making him a prime target.
Edwards has not confirmed Hackney’s stay, fueling speculation after the club accepted a £20million bid from Ipswich, which Hackney rejected, preferring a Premier League move.
Everton’s strong relationship with Hackney’s new agency and their need for a dynamic midfielder to complement Idrissa Gueye could prompt a formal offer, especially as Moyes aims to strengthen the squad for the new Premier League season.
It remains to be seen if Palace also firm up their interest as Eberechi Eze has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
His exit would not only amplify the need for a new midfielder but will also give them the funds required to sign him.
