Spain is struggling with injuries ahead of EuroBasket 2025, with young point guard Mario Saint-Supery joining a list of injured players already headlined by NBA forward Santi Aldama.
With just 10 days remaining until EuroBasket 2025, teams are finalizing their rosters for the tournament.

One of the teams facing the most difficulties finalizing their roster is the defending champion, Spain.
Currently, two Spanish players — Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama and Unicaja guard Alberto Diaz — are sidelined with injuries, while Dario Brizuela and Alberto Abalde are also dealing with physical issues.
Spain’s head coach, Sergio Scariolo, earlier said that Aldama and Diaz are currently not practicing with the team, and if that continues in the coming weeks, they may have to miss EuroBasket 2025.
And now, in their most recent friendly against France, Spain suffered another setback when 19-year-old point guard Mario Saint-Supery went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter. He was later seen on the bench with the other injured players, his affected foot resting on a chair.
According to Mundo Deportivo, after it became clear that Lorenzo Brown would miss the European Championship due to personal reasons, Saint-Supery had emerged as one of the main candidates to take over the point guard role.
EuroBasket 2025 will take place from August 27 to September 14 in Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia.
Spain will be in Group C of EuroBasket 2025 in Limassol together with hosts Cyprus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Italy and Greece.
