Manchester United are expected to take a ruthless view of their squad for the remainder of the transfer window, and one player who was once endorsed by Bruno Fernandes could be set for exit.
It goes without saying that Man Utd need to balance the books somewhat after splurging close to £200m on Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo.
With a midfielder on the agenda as well, they need to make sales, especially if they are serious in their latest audacious attempt to sign Adam Wharton.
Of the five exiled squad members, only one has left the club, with Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona. Now, United could be boosted by double exits at once.

AS Roma eyeing two Man Utd players
A big problem facing Man Utd when trying to negotiate exits is that the exiled players seem to have their hearts set on a particular destination and nowhere else.
Alejandro Garnacho wants Chelsea, Antony is holding out for Real Betis, Jadon Sancho seems to be holding out for a free transfer, and Tyrell Malacia wasn’t generating any interest.
However, AS Roma might well be thanked by Man Utd fans by the end of the window, because Fabrizio Romano reports that they are eyeing a double raid at Old Trafford.
After Roma’s talks for Sancho, they have made contact for Tyrell Malacia as well. Unlike Sancho, who hasn’t given the green light as yet, Malacia is keen on the move.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Besiktas are also keen, so United might find themselves at the end of an unexpected bidding war for a player who was generating zero interest up until a week ago.
Tyrell Malacia has no ill will at Man Utd
It is unfortunate that Malacia has been grouped with unpopular players who mostly found themselves exiled due to their unprofessionalism.
However, much like Antony’s case, Ruben Amorim thought it was best not to proceed with any player who wasn’t a part of his long-term plans.
Therefore, despite an underwhelming spell at Old Trafford, Malacia will depart the club with no ill will, with fans mostly understanding of his bad luck at the club.
His first-season heroics as the energetic backup at left-back will always be remembered, when Erik ten Hag called him ‘relentless’, and Bruno Fernandes praised him for giving his 100% every time.
It all went wrong due to a freak sequence of injuries, but if he manages to recapture that form at a slower league in Italy, Roma might end up getting a bargain.
Everyone at United will be happy for him if that happens.
