Real Madrid youngster’s first-team debut moves a step closer

An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Sunday moved a step closer to securing his first-team bow.

The player in question? Thiago Pitarch.

Youngster Pitarch has of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last couple of weeks.

This comes after the starlet, fresh off turning 18, was afforded a call-up to senior training with Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid squad.

The understanding is that Pitarch has since gone on to thoroughly impress, to the point of emerging as a legitimate option for Alonso and his staff for the season ahead.

And as alluded to above, on Sunday, the youngster taking to the pitch for Los Blancos’ first-team has inched ever closer.

Real Madrid Castilla unveiled their latest matchday squad a short time ago, with Pitarch having been omitted.

As much comes amid the expectation that the all-action midfielder is instead set to be handed a place in the capital giants’ squad for their La Liga season opener against Osasuna this week.
