Aston Villa parted with Kortney Hause at the end of his contract this summer - his time at the club was ravaged by injuries

Kortney Hause has accused Aston Villa of a 'lack of support' as he bid, in vain, to return from a series of injuries which ravaged his time at the club and his playing career in general. Defender Hause originally signed for the club on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018 and helped the club to promotion from the Championship.
This past summer, though, Hause left Villa at the end of his contract, having not played for the Lions since January 2022 during the tenure of Steven Gerrard. He spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Championship side Watford, but he only made three appearances at the beginning of the campaign after suffering a setback.
The fitness woes continued to dog Hause right up to the end of his time at Villa Park, and he was routinely left out of Unai Emery's 25-man Premier League squads when the club were required to list their designated players at the end of each transfer window.
Now, having left Villa and working on getting himself back playing again, Hause has pointed out the achievement in his career simply by playing in the Premier League in the first place despite the injuries that curtailed his career - and what he described as a 'lack of support' from Villa during those tough times.
"Could things have played out allot [sic] better if it wasn’t for the injuries and the lack of support from the club while dealing with the injuries? Most definitely! No doubt! But nevertheless making it to the premier league isn’t a coincidence or by luck," Hause posted. "I WAS MADE FOR THIS S***. Gotta write the ending to my own story. Still that. Gods perfect plan. Amen."
